Toute la famille aime Disneyland Paris

October 18

Sam:

On our first full day in Paris, we went to a bakery for breakfast. I got something called a Viennoise chocolate. It is like a small baguette made out of sweet bread with chocolate chips inside of it. Everyone else got croissants and pains au chocolat.

Then, we got on a train to go to Disneyland Paris! We went to the Disneyland Park part (there is another park called Walt Disney Studios, but we didn’t go there).

My favourite parts were there roller coasters. The best one was Big Thunder Mountain in Frontierland. We waited in line for about an hour and a half, and it was very worth it! The ride had parts in the light and in the dark and underwater. There was a dynamite “explosion” and it was very long. The rest of Frontierland was cool, too.

Another coaster we went on was called Hyperspace Mountain, which is Star Wars themed. It was the first roller coaster I ever went on, so I wasn’t sure if I would like it. I was pretty terrified at first and during the entire ride. It was pitch black and we went upside-down. When we finished, I had to admit it was pretty fun. I wish they would have a little more light, though.

Charlotte:

Another thing that we did was called Star Tours. It was another Star Wars ride. We watched a film while the chairs moved and it felt like we were actually flying. It was really fun.

A little after that, we went on a Pirates of the Caribbean boat ride. It was underground in real water. I looked like it was night. There were pirate robots and the ride went through rapids and over waterfalls. We got a little bit wet.

It’s a Small World ride was cool, I guess. The music was kind of annoying. I liked how it showed people from all around the world. Mom looked how colourful it was. It was also a boat ride.

Mom and Dad wanted us to try the Haunted Mansion. It seemed like it was going to be scary, but it turned out that it wasn’t scary at all.

When it was time for the park to close, there was a fireworks show. There was a projector on the castle showing parts of movies while music played and fireworks and lights went off. I loved the music and the big balls of actual fire best.

Sam:

We had a supper of cotton candy and a dessert of fudge while we were watching the fireworks. I can’t believe my parents let us eat that!
