Croome with a View

Wednesday September 18

Sam:

We went to Croome today. Croome is a big park and Manor house. The first thing we saw was an old church. It was on top of a hill.

Next we went on a long walk around a lake that was in the property. There was a grotto, which is a little cave. We went across the Chinese bridge to get to the manor house.

Inside it was kind of underwhelming. We thought it would be really beautiful, but it was mostly empty. It did have art and pottery on display There was one room with a huge bathtub right in the middle of it.

It was not as interesting as Croft Castle, but the grounds were very nice.

Charlotte:

After that, Mom and Dad surprised me by going back to Jinney Ring. We wanted to go again because we forgot to go to the chocolate shop there and the gift shop.

We first went to a little bakery to have afternoon tea. I had bread pudding, Sam had caramel cheesecake, and Mom and Dad both had chocolate cake. I had banana milk with mine.

Then I got to see the ducks and Raven and Ryan (the horses) again. They were both still there. I fed the horses two little apples this time. I was sad to go because I knew I would never see them again.
